How this plan fails
Medical pages are not training. Practice with certified first-aid, CPR, AED, and bleeding-control courses before you need them.
/ avoid
Do not spend your first mistake here
- Digging into wounds or removing embedded objects.
- Using medical gear you have never practiced with.
A disaster turns small medical gaps into serious problems. The first gap is usually not gear. It is a person who freezes because the situation has no script.
Build the script before you need it. Where is the first-aid kit? Who has medication that cannot be skipped? Who knows CPR? Who knows how to use the tourniquet? Where are gloves?
Keep medical notes boring and visible. Name, age, emergency contact, conditions, allergies, medications, dose, last dose, and physician. In an evacuation, that paper can be more useful than a perfect backpack.
The point is not heroics. The point is time.
