- Posting live location and supply details publicly.
Communication fails in boring ways. Batteries die. Towers overload. Apps need data. People forget phone numbers because phones usually remember for them.
Write the important pieces down: household numbers, out-of-area contact, allergies, medications, local meeting point, regional meeting point, school pickup rules, pet plan. Put copies in wallets, bags, glove boxes, and the shelter area.
The best emergency message is short: safe at home. water OK. leaving 4pm to library route.
